Is Novia really free for couples?
All planning tools are free. A 2.9% processing fee is added when you pay an invoice through Novia.
What does it mean that a vendor is a Novia partner?
A partner has signed Novia’s Vendor Agreement. We choose which vendors to invite, then put forward a partner for each category based on your date, guests, budget and style. You pay the price the vendor quotes, plus 2.9% processing at checkout. Quotes, contracts and payments run through Novia.
How does the pricing work?
Venue prices come from the venue's own website, brochure or team, whether or not it has claimed its profile. If no price is shown, send an enquiry and we'll ask. Any estimates in our cost guides are labelled as estimates.
What if something goes wrong with a vendor?
Open a dispute in your dashboard. We reply within two business days and resolve it within five more. We may refund all or part of the payment, excluding the 2.9% fee, or pay the vendor.
Do I need the app?
No. Everything works in your browser, on a phone or a laptop. There is also a free iPhone app, Novia Weddings, which tells you when a vendor replies. There is no Android app yet.
Can I plan my wedding with my partner?
Absolutely. Share your shortlist, collaborate on your checklist, and manage your planning hub together. Both partners can access the same dashboard with their own sign-in.
Which regions do you cover?
Browse wedding venues in the Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng. Most of our venues are in the Western Cape.
